Delete History And Clean HDD Files

You can find various online applications that let you delete history from your internet browser and many of these also have other functionality too. However there are more things these applications can perform; several of these can also do free space cleaning, scan hard disks for porn or adult files, detect the presence of illegal or unlicensed software, and show where your disk space is being taken up.

Hard disk analysis and cleaning tools exist in several main forms. The most popular seem to be the 'disk cleaner' or 'file cleaner' class utilities like the free 'DCleaner' utility that purge redundant files and give back usable space in the process. There are 'PC privacy' tools clean up internet tracks and get rid of the previously typed URLs from drop down lists found in your browser, software such as Privacy Eraser. Then there is the porn cleaner product, which detects porn images and video files or many other undesirable files and can manage the cleanup of the detected objects. Yet another category of drive cleaners comprising disk 'washing' software which can overwrite with 1s and 0s, random data from any part of the hard drive, so that it cannot be retrieved again by any means.

Various reasons exist why taking a minute to delete browser history and clean un-wanted hard drive files, the unwanted or unused ones, can offer improvements in the behaviour and performance of your computer system. The speed of your system while accessing disk files and documents is governed by factors such as the number of files and documents etc. on the computer drive. Usually you will find that when the drives contain more files, and the file allocation tables (a table of contents for files) get larger, the drive system is subjected to more stress when requests for hard drive files are received and handled. Often files are no longer contiguous and this causes read rate to decrease. Data security is also a factor, when you have a large number of your personal data files, the higher the likelihood is that other persons using your system will find them. Additionally, cleaning up files can return free space to the available data pool and this might stave off having to buy a bigger hard drive.
